The drawing with the mermaid is made on paper, it is 30 cm wide and 28 high and it is made with carbon and china.
The drawing on the right is called Mater Matuta, the goddess of dawn and sunrise according to Roman mithology, protector of birth.
The mother with her many children is part of a huge series of different mothers, which have been part of an exhibition in the cultural centre in Store Heddinge. The width is 22 cm and the height is 31 cm. It is designed with china.
The motive has always intrigued me – especially after the birth of my children, when I have lived on my own skin the deep and mysterious feelings tying children and their parents together
